Tennis Specialty Tag

 

 

Next time you are out driving around, take notice of all the specialty tags you see on cars. Each tag represents an Association or group that is trying to be noticed. Now, it’s a reality that tennis enthusiasts will be able to purchase a Tennis Specialty Tag! House Bill 909 was passed and signed by the Governor and our campaign to pre-sell 300 tags has begun.

Why would someone want to purchase a tennis tag, you might ask? One reason might be that the funds generated by the sales of these tags will be placed in the MTA Community Grant Fund Program to assist tennis facilities across the state with improvements. Another reason is simply to support tennis.

License tags are only produced twice a year, May and November. Our goal is to have 300 pre-sold so that our tag will be produced in November. Once we reach this number, our tag design, produced by Godwin Group, will be approved and printed and in January, 2008, we will all receive our new tags.

It’s a simple process, 3 easy steps and you can get a tennis tag:

1. Fill out the application for your specialty tag
2. Write a check to the MTA for $31.00 & mail to:
   P.O. Box 5388, Jackson, MS 39296
3. Wait to be contacted by MTA office to pick up your new tag at your local tax assessors office.

Remember, $24.00 of the $31.00 will go to the MTA Community Grant Fund Program to improve tennis facilities across the state. Get Yours Today.
